Electronic Targets 12 June 2013
Electronic Targets – Cessnock Rifle Range
Cessnock Rifle Range has now operated the Kongsberg Electronic Target System for a well over a year now, with an average of over 9,000 rounds being recorded by most targets.
Target refurbishment has taken place and no targets have been down for repairs due to wear at all. In the period of operation the range has hosted a number of open prize shoots and the system has worked without any problem itself.
The range has 7 targets installed which is the second largest electronic target system in Australia and the largest in NSW.
The Club is planning further development of the system with a view to electronic transmission of scores at meetings for both administrative purposes as well as competitor and public information.
Visitors are welcome to come and try the system for themselves on any Saturday.
